Mallow

Mallow is the common name of several closely related genera of plant in the family Malvaceae:

- Althaea – Marsh mallow
- Anisodontea - Cape mallow
- Callirhoe – Poppy mallow
- Corchorus - Jews Mallow, Molokia, Mlukhia
- Kosteletzkya – Seashore mallow
- Lavatera – Tree mallow or rose mallow

- Malva – Mallow
- Malvaviscus – Turk's cap mallow, wax mallow
- Sidalcea – Greek mallow, Chequer-mallow
- Sphaeralcea – Globemallow
Plants of the genus Malva are herbaceous perennial plants; the other genera include annuals, herbaceous perennials, sub-shrubs, shrubs, and small trees (including hibiscus). Several mallows are of horticultural merit. Some have other economic uses, although none is a major crop plant.
