[edit] Main characters
[edit] Timothy Tiberius "Timmy" Turner
Timmy Turner (voiced by Tara Strong) is a buck-toothed 10-year-old boy that is granted Cosmo and Wanda as fairy godparents because he is miserable. He has an unusually squeaky voice for a 10 year old boy. His parents are rarely around and take little interest in him; his babysitter, Vicky, is borderline psychotic. He wishes for everything he wants, which sometimes causes havoc. Timmy got his buck tooth when his grandfather let him suck on his pacifier too long. Timmy is really smart, but has a short attention span and doesn't care about school but is also unusually resourceful at times, particularily for a ten year old. The concept of Timmy Turner first came from Butch Hartman's idea of a boy version of Cinderella who is watched over by a fairy godmother.[1]
[edit] Biography
Timothy Tiberius Turner was born on March 21. Timmy was raised with his parents who constantly watched over him, until he turned 8, when his parents told a lie, causing Vicky to become his babysitter. In "A Closer Look", it is revealed that back when Timmy was a baby, his favorite toy was the TV remote and his first word was "crabcakes".[2]
Then, Timmy receives Cosmo & Wanda as his fairy-godparents.[3] Later on in the series, Timmy wishes for a fairy-godbrother which he names Poof.[4]
[edit] Family
Timmy is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Turner and grandson to Grandpa Pappy. In a possible future, Timmy is a father to Tommy and Tammy Turner.[5] The mother of them has not been recognized, although the appearance of them suggests an equal chance of either Tootie or Trixie.
Wish-Generated Relatives:
- Tommy Turner (Older Brother)
Tommy is created when Timmy wishes that he had a perfect older brother. However, Tommy turns out to be too perfect. He then requests that Timmy help out in Tibecuador, which is where Timmy had said Tommy was from. He isn't wished away because Tootie switches her focus to Tommy. Timmy convinces Tootie to forget Tommy, so he is wished away back to Tibecuador. He still exists, as he was last seen helping the people of Tibecuador. Timmy's son is probably named after him.
- Poof (Fairy Godbrother)
Even though a Fairy hasn't been born in thousands of years, Timmy wishes up a baby for Cosmo and Wanda.[6] The baby, who is eventually identified as a boy and named Poof, is full to the brim of pure, untapped magic. If he laughs, good things happen. If he cries, bad things happen. If he burps, lightning strikes the nearest person.. If he hiccups, natural disasters occur. And when he breaks wind, distortions occur in time-space. He was supposedly meant to go to Fairy World to train how to channel his powers properly, but Cosmo and Wanda manage to keep him by tricking Jorgen into taking a doll that looks like Poof.
- Relation to Other Characters:
In the series, Timmy has a crush on Trixie Tang, the most popular girl in school, who is normally snobby, but usually sweet and sometimes ignores him, but can be nice to him often. Throughout the series, Timmy makes wishes to try and impress her. Also, there are at least two girls that have a crush on Timmy -- Veronica Star, Trixie's best friend, and Tootie, Vicky's little sister. He also has an affair with Cindy Vortex.[7][8]
Other characters important to Timmy include his human friends Chester, A.J., Elmer the Boil Kid, Sanjay, and musical artist Chip Skylark. Some of his enemies include Crocker, Vicky, Francis, Dr. Bender & Wendell, Gary (his imaginary friend), and Remy Buxaplenty. His fairy-friends include Jorgen Von Strangle, Mama Cosma (Cosmo's mother), Big Daddy (Wanda's father), and Juandissimo Magnifico (Wanda's ex-boyfriend and Remy's fairy godparent). He also has fairy enemies, such as Anti-Cosmo and The Pixies HP and Sanderson .
Other Notes:
- In one episode, Timmy made a reference to Moe Howard from the three stooges by saying Moe's trademark Quote "Why I Ought to"

[edit] Cosmo Julius Cosma and Wanda Venus Fairiewinkle
Cosmo and Wanda (voiced by Daran Norris and Susan Blakeslee respectively) are the married pair of fairy godparents that are assigned to Timmy Turner. Their magical power depends on their staying together. In the series' beginnings, they were portrayed as being very much in love; sadly, in later seasons, a more stereotypical nagging wife/idiot husband portrayal was substituted, much to the annoyance of the series' fans, and this in turn led to the show's fall from popularity (a fall briefly reversed by the arrival of Poof). [9] Cosmo is one of the youngest fairies in the universe, second only to his son, Poof, who came along in the episode Fairly OddBaby. Cosmo (instead of Wanda) gave birth to Poof. In Nicktoons: Attack of the Toybots, it is said that Cosmo is allergic to Krabby Patties and will get gas if he eats them. Cosmo's full name is Cosmo Julius Cosma, while Wanda's full name is Wanda Venus Fairywinkle. In "A Closer Look", it is revealed that thousands of years ago when they were fairy newborns, Cosmo's favorite toy was his belly button and Wanda's was a curling iron. As with all fairies, they have special abilities such as:
- Immortality
- Shapeshifting
- Wish-Granting
- Regeneration
- Intelligence (except Cosmo)
- Reality warping
- Teleportation / Poofing
Family:
- Papa Cosmo (Cosmo's Dad)
- Mama Cosma (Cosmo's Mom)
- Big Daddy (Wanda's Dad)
- Blonda (Wanda's sister)
- Uncle Carmine (Wanda's uncle)
- Uncle Piermo (Wanda's second uncle)
- Guido (Wanda's cousin)
Spouse(s):
- Each Other
Children:
- Poof (natural son)
- Denzel Q. Crocker, Billy Gates, Pierre, Sammy, Mary-Ann (ex-godchildren)
- Timmy Turner (godson)
- Tommy and Tammy Turner (future godchildren)
Anti-fairy Counterparts:
- Anti-Cosmo and Anti-Wanda
[edit] Poof
Baby Poof is the only natural child of fairies Cosmo and Wanda, and Timmy Turner's baby godbrother. He has extraordinary powers which are contained by a magical rattle given by Jorgen von Strangle, which acts like a normal fairy wand. Poof was highly sought-after by the Anti-fairies, Pixies and Jorgen himself (though Jorgen just wants to make sure Poof doesn't fall into the wrong hands) because of the pure, untapped magic inside him. His laughing does good things, his crying does bad things, his hiccups cause natural disasters and when he burps, the nearest person gets electrically shocked, and when he breaks wind, all problems are fixed in an instant right after a distortion in the time-space continuum. Before Poof was officially named, his name was being constantly changed by all the characters to names like Twinkle, Lil' T (Little Timmy), Oprah, Tallulah, Barfolomew, Napoleon, Farrah, Bill, José, Dagmar, Keanu, Mackenzie, Fauntleroy, Gaja Goo Goo and Elvis. Timmy was the one who gave Poof his name, due to the fact that "Poof" is mostly the only word he says.
[edit] Other Main Characters
- Mr. and Mrs. Turner (voiced by Daran Norris and Susan Blakeslee; Dee Bradley Baker as Young Mr. Turner) are Timmy's 42 year-old parents. Their first names were never given[9], and the show deliberately avoids naming them, with all the other characters referring to them as something along the lines of "Timmy Turner's Mom/Dad," which is what they answer to. In the episode, "Mother Nature", Timmy's mother enters the "Be The New Weatherperson" contest. When her name was announced on TV, the news reporter, Chet Ubetcha, said, "And the winner of the "Be The New Weatherperson" contest is... Timmy Turner's Mom!" At other times when they speak their names, the name is delibrately drowned out by loud noise, such as a passing truck.
[edit] Main Villains
- Denzel Q. Crocker (voiced by Carlos Alazraqui) is Timmy's fairy godparent-obsessed teacher and the primary villain of the series. He suspects that Timmy has fairy godparents of his own (and is right). His unshakable belief in fairy godparents leads to his being viewed as mentally ill by other adults. Everytime he mentions fairy godparents he spasms uncontrollably (similar to his uncle who spasms to the word Genie), which has been the subject of several jokes and occasionally causes him to be injured. He also speaks with the same accent that is used for the voice of Mr Burns from The Simpsons. It is revealed that Crocker is Cosmo and Wanda's ex-godson. His only identified relatives are his mother, Dolores Day Crocker, his Canadian genie-paranoid uncle Albert, his stepfather Ricky, and his probable ancestor, the witch-paranoid Alden Bitterroot.
- Vicky (voiced by Grey Delisle) is a 16-year-old babysitter that constantly tortures Timmy and other children. She enjoys money, torturing children (mostly Timmy), and watching TV. She is Tootie's sister and the probable aunt of Timmy's children. A running Gag in the opening credits is that her head gets changed into something after saying "Yeah Right" at the end of the theme song

He also makes unimaginative quotes, in contrast to the Crimson Chin's "motivational" speeches, one example is "Your powers are powerless against the power-zapping power of my nega vision.... POWER!!!!.
- Nega-Timmy (voiced by Tara Strong) Timmy´s evil "counterpart" his first and so far only appearance was in the episode of the same name, he was "born" when Timmy wished to do the opposite of what his parents told him to do so then Dad told him to be good, Timmy became Evil, he nearly succeded in destroying The Make-Up factory in Dimsdale and as Nega-Timmy put it "It would destroy all social life and Dimsdale would no longer exist".

The gold reward stars she gives to the children during her "nice" phase are actually sensors which detect Fairy Magic. Her personal appearance as a hunter includes white hair; orange irises; purple lipstick, bandana, and star tatoo on her cheek. The outfit she wears resembles a female version of the Punisher's wardrobe. Her full name is Mary Alice Doombringer, which is revealed on the bottom of a book she wrote about hunting Fairies in the episode "No Substitute For Crazy". She was defeated by Mr. Crocker when during his new job as Crossing Guard, he signaled oncoming vehicles to move while she was still in the middle of the road.
