[edit] OVA 1: Chibi Party

  • Running Time: 6 minutes 15 seconds

An insane party riot where all of the characters from both the FMA movie and the series are turned into chibi forms, and are complimented for a job well done on the movie.

Envy's dragon form is really a costume and he lies that Ed hurt him a lot. After removing the costume, many characters confuse his androgynous form with a girl. Hawkeye starts an event to talk about anything about the show, which causes riot for the microphone. Ed and Al turn into their anime forms briefly and charge into the rumble, but Hawkeye runs them over with a stampede of Black Hayates.

Hawkeye begins with the denouncement of Mustang, causing him to fall to pieces quite literally. Two suits of armor go next and reveal they are Scar and Lust. After Ed insults them for being extras, Scar rips off his X-shaped scar and flings across the room like a boomerang at Ed and Al, but ends up missing and the scar-boomerang is embedded in the head of Gluttony, who angrily eats Scar and Lust.

This makes Ed, Al and several other characters nervous while Gluttony complains it is hot. Ed tries to calmly advise Gluttony to take off his costume so he can be relaxed but Gluttony reveals that he gained a lot of weight from eating too much meat lately. Ed and co then realize that this is Gluttony's real form as Gluttony proceeds to eat other characters in the room using his tentacles. Ed finds Alfons and thanks him for his cooperation in the movie but Alphonse talks for Alfons and rants about negative remarks about treating Edward to a few drinks in the bar. The OVA ends with a fuming, drunk Winry demanding to know what Noah means to Ed, causing her to beat him up and causing havoc in the drink house where they celebrate the random chibi party.

[edit] OVA 2: Kids

  • Running Time: 3 minutes 20 seconds

This brief sequence shows three children, who bear exact resemblances to the Elric brothers and to Winry Rockbell, making a trip through a modern Japanese-like city (judging from the architectural design of the police station and the design of the traffic lights) in 2005. They travel alone to Edward's apartment; going through little misadventures in which they unfortunately get lost. They stop to look at a billboard poster for the Fullmetal Alchemist movie. The three run by some other older kids playing cards who resemble Mustang and Breda. They nearly have a close encounter with a scary guard dog. But they eventually reach Edward's home with the help of a police officer resembling Maes Hughes.

Edward is by then aged and also referred to as "great-grandpa" by the girl (though the Edward-look-alike corrects the girl's calls and say that he's their "great-great-grandfather"). They tell him that they have brought a gift from "Grandpa Al" and they wish him a happy birthday.

It is however not certain if they are really his blood children because they refer Alphonse Elric as their grandfather as well and one of the children resembles Alphonse himself. Also, in Japanese "Jiichan" is an abbreviated children's word for "Ojiichan" but it could potentially mean "(great) uncle".

In the end, a text scrolls along the bottom-center that reads, "In the year 2005, Edward Elric will be 100 years old. In this world, somewhere..." whether "this world" is Amestris or Earth is a mystery.

[edit] OVA 3: Liveaction

  • Running Time: 2 minutes 53 seconds (counting credits)

Alphonse Elric - in his armor form - embarks on a quest in a real-life Japan to find his brother Edward. His search eventually takes him to Studio Bones, where the series was produced, but due to his size he cannot fit through the door.

[edit] OVA 4: Alchemists vs. Homunculi

  • Running Time: 10 minutes 8 seconds

The OVA focuses on a non-canon interactive episode that features the viewer as a new State Alchemist. The Fuhrer welcomes the viewer to the military and introduces himself. Juliet Douglas (Sloth) enters and hands the Fuhrer a card which he reads and quickly departs, putting the viewer under the command of Roy Mustang. It laters shows a scene when the Fuhrer, Pride, is addressing four of the Homunculi: Sloth, Wrath, Gluttony, and Lust. He commands them to destroy Greed, the Elrics and Mustang's group. Mustang has a meeting with his subordinates and informs them they are dealing with the Homunculi and will venture into the unknown to rescue Ed and Al from Greed. Mustang then gives the viewer a ring with a transmutation circle on it.

Ed, Al and Winry, meanwhile, are being held captive in a church by Greed. Ed is suspended from the ceiling by a rope. Greed makes a move on Winry and tells Al he wants a body like his. Ed breaks free using alchemy and discovers that Winry is actually Envy. Greed angrily attacks Envy, only to be sent flying away. Ed and Al chase Envy into another room where they are ambushed by Lust, Gluttony and Wrath.

Mustang and his troops arrive at the church and are blasted away by a tidal wave sent by Sloth. Mustang heads into the church while Hawkeye takes on Sloth after telling him he's useless against water . Ed and Al flee into a large opera room where Mustang shows up and fries the Homunculi. Sloth, Hawkeye and Mustang's troops, Major Armstrong, Kimblee, Archer and all of the State Alchemists arrive. An intense battle ensues with the military losing to the Homunculi. Mustang sees the viewer hiding and tells the viewer to use his alchemical powers. He is strangled by Sloth and the viewer activates the ring that he has which creates multitudes of giant transmutation circles. Everyone looks on in horror as the entire building explodes with Armstrong mentioning "You overdid it". Later, the military troops are all alive but the Homunculi fled. Ed and Al approach the viewer and congratulate them for their work and depart.

[edit] OVA 5: Reflections

A recap of the series, with sections narrated by the Elric brothers, Roy Mustang, Maes Hughes, Greed and Envy.
