Talk:Languages of Denmark
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
[edit] Two small questions
- Is the statement "Greenlandic is the main language of the 54,000 Inuits living in Greenland," correct? According to Demographics of Greenland there are about 49,000 Greenlanders living in Greenland and that number includes both Inuits and ethnic Europeans born in Greenland, and according to Kalaallisut language the language is spoken by a total of 54,000 people some of whom would be Inuits living in Denmark and some would be ethnic Europeans living in Greenland, I assume.
- Is there any specific reason for mentioning Bornholmsk but no other dialects? I would expect the three main dialects of Jutlandic to be just as relevant.
