Kenley railway station is in the London Borough of Croydon in south London. The station and all trains serving it are operated by Southern, and it is in Travelcard Zone 6, on the Caterham Line.
The platforms are below road level, with the brick ticket office on the Up side. Stairs lead down to the platform and a footbridge gives access to the Down platform. On the latter, a gabled station house in the "Old English style of Domestic Architecture" (architect: Richard Whittall) and similar to the original building at Caterham. The station house was sold to a private owner in 2007. The original wooden waiting room on the down platform was demolished after falling into disrepair and replaced by a small modern shelter.
The station was opened as Coulsdon by the Caterham Railway in 1856 [1].
