Papal Conclave
Voting for the next collaboration is going on now. Vote here.

[edit] Talk Space

Jim, thanks for weighing in on the CU/Bank debate. Your comments were right on, and unlike some, they were civil. Let me know if you need any help on the NCUSIF page. Cheers! Dubc0724 18:17, 19 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Knights of Columbus

Hi! Thanks for voting for the Knights of Columbus on the Catholic Collaboration page! I know that it is not the CCW article for a few weeks, but right now it is up for FAC so if you could see your way over there early that would be great. Right now the only person holding out on supporting it has a complaint about the prose, so copyediting would be particularly helpful. Thanks again! --Briancua 14:06, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Joseph Doria.

I can't find anyone in the online database at www.apo.org with the last name of Doria. I also looked through the "D"s. for Omicron Sigma and even searched for those at Omicron Sigma with the first name Joseph.

Having said that, the database while fairly complete for recent times, lacks a large number of individuals once you get farther back. (Frank Reed and Herbert G. Horton for example. :) I do see some individuals from the 1960s at Omicron Sigma though.

Where did you find out he was a brother? Naraht 22:04, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

My Father (James Miller '68) was a member at SPC and later an advisor when the chapter was briefly reactivated. He and Joe Doria were members of the chapter at St. Peter's together. My recollection may be wrong about the chapter involved. I don't know the active dates of the 2 chapters at St. Peter's. They may have both have been members of Pi Tau, but I will check with my father when I can. Jim Miller 22:27, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
Didn't see anything for Pi Tau, but *shrug*. Let me know when you get more info, but it's personal curiosity. I'm thinking of rearranging the alumni by area of "fame". He would definitely go into the politics/government area. Naraht 12:23, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
Never know if I should respond on your page or mine. :)

Thanx for the info, I have no problem with leaving him there and if I should include him in the list of Alumni I'm doing bios on in the fall on the mailing lists, I'll note to Judy Mitchell that she should check downstairs in the actual card file... Naraht 01:27, 8 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Suggestion for your user page (and anywhere else you may have a need for it)

Hiya, I was just looking though recent changes and came across this edit to your user page so I thought I'd share a tip that you may find usefull. If you changed the code to look like the following:

{{Userboxbottom}}
== Projects ==

it will achieve the effect your after. It's pretty much a way of telling the browser "I want the next line to be on it's own and DON'T want it shared with anything above it". An alternative that gets the same results is
. I use this on my user page to declutter sections - especially with the amount of templates that would overlap otherwise - and to organise my userboxes at the bottom. It's merely a cosmetical thing in most cases, but I think you'll find it useful. Anyway, keep up the good work and happy editing, TheJC TalkContributions 03:04, 25 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Diocesan Infobox

To the Members of the WikiProject Catholicism

I have proposed at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Catholicism an infobox for Catholic Dioceses. I have not gotten any feedback on this proposal, so I’m culling feedback, advice, corrections, etc. for this. If you have the time, would you check out User:SkierRMH/Diocese_Infobox and give me some feedback! Thanks much!!

[edit] WikiProject Christianity

Hello JimMillerJr!

You are cordially invited to participate in WikiProject Christianity

The goal of WikiProject Christianity is to improve the quality and quantity of information about Christianity available on Wikipedia. WP:X as a group does not prefer any particular tradition or denominination of Christianity, but prefers that all Christian traditions are fairly and accurately represented.

You are receiving this invitation because you are a member of one of the related Christianity Projects and I thought that you might be interested in this project also - Tinucherian (talk) 06:50, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Homeschooling Financial Obligations

Hello Jim Miller, you have recently provided a third opinion on the homeschooling talk page. I requested it to include something about the deletion of the financial obligations section. There also have been follow up questions. Can you look into this or should an extra third opinion be requested? Species8473 (talk) 14:37, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Re:2006 New Jersey State Government shutdown

Jim, great work on the article. I've expanded the lead a little and renominated it for GA status. Hopefully the article will pass the nomination this time round. --ZeWrestler Talk 14:51, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
