[edit] Playing career
Jamie Storr was the 1st goalie selected in the 1991 OHL entry draft and he played his junior hockey with the Owen Sound Platers and the Windsor Spitfires of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). Jamie represented Canada in the 1994 (Czech Republic) and 1995 (Sweden) World Junior Hockey Championships where he won back to back gold medals for Team Canada. Jamie Storr is undefeated in WJC competition.
In 1994, Jamie Storr was drafted 7th overall into the NHL by the Los Angeles Kings and in his rookie season was given the opportunity to live with Wayne Gretzky and his family in Beverly Hills, CA.
Jamie played for the Philadelphia Phantoms in 2005–06. Storr has signed a contract with the German hockey club DEG Metro Stars for 2006–07[1]. His nickname is the "Storrkeeper". He is notable as the only player in NHL history to make the All-Rookie Team twice, (in 1997–98 and 1998–99), because he had played less than 25 games in 1997–98, which still made him qualify as a rookie the next year.
Jamie Storr has signed a contract till 2009 with the DEG Metro Stars, Jamie says: I am really glad that I get the chance to sign this contract.
