A basketball player for the Ravens, he was the love interest of Peyton Sawyer. Jagielski is currently living in Savannah, Georgia, USA while he awaits for a custody trial to regain custody of his daughter Jenny.
[edit] Season 1
In the beginning of One Tree Hill, he was a basketball player for the Ravens and one of the few players to support Lucas Scott. It was soon revealed that he had a daughter named Jenny, which was why Whitey Durham let him skip practices from time to time. Jake hid her from prying eyes until Lucas finally told him that he was happy that his mother didn't hide him and he decided to show her off at the open mic night at Karen's Café. Peyton Sawyer soon got close to his daughter and later to him. His ex, Nicki, however, decided to come back and take Jenny after a discussion with Lucas about how his father left him. Fearing that Nicki would take Jenny, he left for family in Savannah, GA. with the help of Peyton and her father, Larry.

Jake then returned in Season 2, after Lucas called him to cheer Peyton up and they got together. But the day they made love, Nikki came back. Having gained custody of Jenny since Jake didn't show up at the process (his convocation had been sent to Seattle, allegedly). He went to jail when he refused and gave Jenny to Coach Whitey Durham, who drove her to Florida to try and keep her safe from her mother, Nikki. Nikki then found her the day Jake was released from jail and was about to gain custody so he had to leave a broken-hearted Peyton behind once again to flee.

In season 3, after Peyton was shot during the school shooting, she came to visit Jake instead of Pete from Fallout Boy and learned that Nikki's parents were keeping Jenny, until the trial. Seeing that he wasn't on the run anymore, Peyton resumed her relationship with him and even proposed to him (and he agreed). But in her sleep she said "I love you, Lucas", Jake then told her to go back to Tree Hill and see if she had feelings for him. If they were meant to be they would be someday.

- Jake is a talented musician who sings and plays the guitar. He has never performed at Tric, only at Karen's Cafe (at the same performance he revealed the existence of Jenny to Tree Hill).
- Bryan Greenberg who plays Jake, is in real life good friends with creator Mark Schwahn.
- In the commentary for episode 217 where Jake enters Peyton's room with Jenny, Mark said Bryan was sick and refused to hold Jenny in his arms, instead, he carried her in a mobile seat because Bryan didn't want the baby to get sick too.
- Jake said to Peyton in 321: If it's meant to be, we'll be together. after which Peyton responded: Someday. , Someday is a song by Bryan Greenberg.
