[edit] Perfect sanity

Your spiel about your disdain for perfect sanity struck a chord with me, I was (am?) just interested to know where the quote fitting in[to]' a monochrome world, settling down, culling mad dreams was from, or was it entirely self-coined?

Thanks.

[edit] translation

Hi, this is not a genitive,
You seem motivated by this new topic !
I can suggest you another translation from a shorter but I think better article : fr:massacre de Qibya.
The only matter is that it already exists but the one here has two POV tages while the former one is also a featured article.

[edit] Your name gives joy!

I have a strong emotional connection to the apostrophe, as it was deemed illegal in my childhood. I have no reason to like Lynn Truss personally, but respect her work. Do you know of an apostrophe protection league? I would like to join in the tippexing. BrainyBabe 21:05, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] It's-->its

Rock on, oh great protector of the apostrophe! (and fellow NF) Katr67 21:40, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Interesting page

You're obviously a very busy Wikipedian. You have an amazing page. I lived in Croatia for a bit so I read a bit about the Slavic swear words. The changes in swear words between the languages belonging to the people of the former Yugoslavia can be small, but so many different ways to curse. It's just wonderful. And if I'm in Iran any time soon, I'll know when the train from Damascus will be :) Wikitoddia 08:07, 23 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] You have perhaps the best username ever

Just saying. Marnanel 20:18, 30 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] English in the Caribbean

I'm a month late to the party, but I noticed that you said a month ago in the Language Reference Desk that English is the sole official language of "basically the entire Caribbean." Actually, only about one-fourth of the Caribbean population lives in English-speaking countries. Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, the Caribbean islands of Venezuela, the French islands and Aruba/Bonaire/Curacao do not have English as an official language, and except for the Dutch trio mentioned, most of the people in those places do not speak it. (The other Dutch islands of Saba, St. Eustatius and Sint Maartin do speak English semi-officially.) Puerto Rico is officially bilingual (being a U.S. territory), but most of its population actually consists of monolingual Spanish speakers. There are a number of officially English-speaking countries in the Caribbean, but most have tiny populations and even then, English is not necessarily the only language spoken on them; the French-based Antillean Creole is spoken on several, often as a native tongue. [edit] Qibya massacre

Hi It's is not a genitive,
I come back to you :-)
Last time I asked you if you would agree to replace Qibya massacre by a translation of fr:massacre de Qibya.
What would you think about acting a (slightly) different way : would you mind translating this on a personal work page and then ask on the article talk page what version they would chose ?
We could also merge the information from the wp:en version in the other one but I think it is already the case...
Thank you !

As one of the very few people in the category, you may be interested in a discussion of the possible deletion of The category User ang-N at the UCfD pageDGG (talk) 03:02, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] I laughed out loud

at your username. One of the best I've (sorry - I have) stumbled across. Kudos to you, and may you continue to help Wikipedia attain its rightful glory. It's good you're (sorry - you are) -here. Keeper | 76 22:25, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Divamagazinecover.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Divamagazinecover.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ricky81682 (talk) 00:50, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Louistheroux.JPG)

Thanks for uploading Image:Louistheroux.JPG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 08:06, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
