HMAS Wollongong (ACPB 92) is an Australian Armidale class patrol boat. Wollongong was commissioned in Wollongong, New South Wales on 23 June 2007. Wollongong is based in Cairns and performs border protection and fisheries protection patrols.
HMAS Wollongong is the third ship of this name to serve in the Royal Australian Navy, and is named after the New South Wales city. The first HMAS Wollongong (J 172) was a Bathurst class corvette which served with the Royal Australian Navy between 1941 and 1946. The second HMAS Wollongong (FCPB 206) was a Fremantle class patrol boat which formed part of the RAN between 1981 and 2006.
