He is also known by the alternative names Himesh Reshamiyya, Himesh Reshamiya, Himmesh Reshamiya. He was previously known by his old name Himesh Reshmmaiya. Himesh Reshammiya is the super hit, legendary and new age visionary music director of India. He has marked his name with his new sensational singing almost three years back. He is the son of veteran music director Vipin Reshammiya. He is considered to be top class music director.
Himesh Reshammiya is responsible for giving series of successive hits. He is also known as the Rockstar of India by his fans. His fabulous, unique and authentic tunes are the key elements of his success.
He has tasted the phenomenal success by pairing with the famous lyricist Sameer.
Till 2004 or so, he used to compose songs by using classical and semi-classical tunes. Then after 2005 he started using Sufi and fusion tunes in his chartbusting songs.
According to some people he is god gifted and blessed with the supernatural powers.
Himesh Reshammiya son of Veteran Gujarati music director Vipin Reshammiya was born on 23rd July 1973. Himesh Reshammiya studied at Hill Grange School in Peddar Road where he met his best friend Prashant Chadha. Prashant is responsible for Himesh’s new look and for directing all of Himesh’s music videos from his first very successful private album “Aap Kaa Surroor” as well as promotional videos for the movies “Aashiq Banaya Aapne”, “Aksar” & “Tom, Dick & Harry”. At just 16 years old and before Himesh Reshammiya went into music direction, he produced television serials for TV which included serials such as “Andaz” & “Amar Prem”. The first big break came when Himesh Reshammiya approached Salman Khan who gave Himesh the chance to be a music director for the movie “Bandhan” along with the composer Anand Raj Anand. Feathers to Himeh’s cap began in the year 1998 where in he made an entry into films after composing chart buster music for the movie, Pyaar Kiya to Darna Kya. In 2005, Reshammiya tried his hand at singing in the movie - Aashiq Banaya Aapne while in 2006, Reshammiya became the first Indian to perform at the Wembley Stadium in London and since then there has been no looking back for this versatile singer. Responsible for giving 28 hits in 6 months, Himesh also got applauded by BBC.
Himesh Reshammiya entered Bollywood on 29th June 2007 with the release of his first film 'Aap Kaa Surroor The Moviee: The Real Luv Story' The film was released on his mother's (Mrs Madhu Reshammiya) birthday & the film has done tremendous success by breaking all box office records to date.
In reality he is the simple,honest and very good person but sometimes he is misunderstood as an aggressive and an ego person.
Himesh Reshammiya is the strong believer of astrology and numerology.

Himesh Reshammiya scored the music and made his acting debut in Aap Ka Suroor - The Real Love Story, which released on June 29, 2007 and had an 80% box office opening. The film proved to be a semi hit.[1]
His acting is considered to be natural, phenomenal by senior most well experienced people, hence he is offered to play the same role of Rishi Kapoor in the upcoming film Karzzzz.
