Hermann Reinecke
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hermann Reinecke (March 14, 1888 - October 10, 1973) was a general of Nazi Germany's Wehrmacht during World War II.
He was a former Lieutenant General and the head of the General Office of the Armed Forces at OKW (Allgemeines Wehrmachtamt, AWA). Reinecke was also head of the office for the NSFO (Nationalsozialistische Führungsoffiziere), which consisted of Nazi officers charged with political propaganda in the Wehrmacht.
In the High Command Trial at the Nuremberg Trials after World War II, Reinecke was convicted for war crimes and crimes against humanity and sentenced to life imprisonment. He was released, however, in October 1954.
