sorry, but that was both hard to read and extremely opinionated. [[User:Sam Spade|Sam Spade Wants you to vote!]] 23:10, 15 Dec 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Difference from food court?
Is there a difference between this hawker centre and a food court? I haven't found one after reading the article. 2_of_8 (talk) 06:33, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
- A couple of differences come to mind. In Singapore, food courts are generally air-conditioned, but not hawker centres -- food courts are also arguably "cleaner". Most food courts also have "quotas" on the number of stalls for each type of cuisine, so it's possible to have 5 chicken rice stalls in a hawker centre but probably only 1 or 2 in a foodcourt. - Alright. By that logic, there should be a different article for roads in Russia because they are in general less maintained, are of a lower quality, and less government control over its standards than what is described in the road article.2_of_8 (talk) 23:56, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
- It's a cultural (and historical) thing. By all means have a separate article if the Russians have a special name for Russian roads -- assuming the distinctiveness goes beyond the name. This article has explained a good part of the distinction. Chensiyuan (talk) 00:52, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
