[edit] Recent Vandalism?
I have received a message off yourself claiming that I have recently vandalised a Wikipedia web page which I did not do. I have not edited a page on Wikipedia for quite a while and would appreciate any help in determining who may have access to my account/IP Address beyond my PC, seeing as it was not myself.86.132.225.2 (talk) 15:12, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
- Hi, presumably a bunch of people share the same IP address as you do. Why not sign up for an account? Chensiyuan (talk) 21:20, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Robin van Persie
Hey, just a quick message to say that I'm itching to improve an Arsenal player's article. I know you're still going with the Tel FAC (I'm letting you deal with the suggested improvements as they come, as I don't want to interfere), but what do you say we improve Robin van Persie to GA? At a (very quick) glance, it seems there's a lot which can be improved:
- The lead section needs rewriting
- The Personal Life section needs to be split up to form an Early Life and Outside Football section (the latter particularly notable due to his court case)
- The Early Career section needs expanding and citing
- The whole Arsenal Career section needs citing in much more detail
That list makes the article sound worse than it actually is; it's actually very detailed, has very good pictures, and seems reasonably well written. However, there's probably loads of information about him on the web (he's always giving interviews etc.), so there should be massive room for improvement.
Let me know! -GilbertoSilvaFan 16:00, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
- Ok mate, that sounds good, I'll probably start working on it Tuesday. (Though feel free to make a start on it before then obviously!) -GilbertoSilvaFan 16:21, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
- Mate - just going through everything which needs doing to the article, and since I've been on Wikibreak for a while, I have a question about what is the "done thing":
-
- Do "International career" sections in player articles always have their own section? In the T. Henry article it has its own section, but in the G. Silva article it doesn't. I can't find a guideline on it or anything - what do you think I should do for the RVP article? Thanks for any advice or pointers. -GilbertoSilvaFan 17:39, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
Haha, well done on the Tel article mate! It's been quite a while coming, hasn't it. I think in the end, most of the edits I made to the article actually caused more trouble than good (with regards to the FA nom)... but thank you for the half barnstar nonetheless. (I never knew a half barnstar existed, it's quite special.) Anyway, well done again. I'm having a rest from the RVP article by the way - just spent the week travelling around Brazil. Took a load of photos (most to do with articles related to Gilberto), so will spend the weekend posting them all etc. So, laters. -GilbertoSilvaFan (talk) 15:30, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Internet TV broadcast
Hey, a friend of mine who watches live football matches online told me to search for SopCast and TVUPlayer. I don’t watch TV online and my friend’s currently busy, so this is as far as I can get you. Hope these work out for you! —LOL (talk) 22:39, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the info, I'd check it out! Chensiyuan (talk) 00:21, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Bob Cousy
Hi, I just saw your work on Bob Cousy. I have a book on Cousy at my local library, so I just wanted to give you a heads-up that I might start the push to FAC. Best, Nishkid64 (talk) 07:17, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
- That's fantastic news, I'd keep a lookout. Chensiyuan 07:27, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
Hi mate. About the Kaká article - I was gonna stick to doing Arsenal articles for a while, but I think Kaká's definitely needs a bit of a revamp (especially when you compare it to the TH and Ronaldinho articles). So I definitely wouldn't mind helping out with fixing it up a bit. However, I'm gonna work on getting RVP to GA first (it's taking longer than I expected, I am very slow/lazy/crap), then after that, I'll join in the Kaká party.
Actually, another question while you're here - on my talk page I got a message saying that Image:Bishopmill_Villa_crest.jpg is illegal blah blah - but the fair use rationale is exactly the same as Image:Arsenal FC.png, and both are official football club crests? Am I missing something? If Bishopmill Villa's crest isn't fair-use, then surely Arsenal's isn't either? (And vice versa, if Arsenal's is fair-use, surely Bishopmill Villa's is.)
Cheers, seeya. -GilbertoSilvaFan (talk) 14:43, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Lost Odyssey at Wikia
What's up! I've created a Lost Odyssey Wiki at Wikia and wanted to invite you to share your knowledge with us on a whole wiki dedicated to the game. If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Cheers. JoeLay (talk) 22:51, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for the invite. I've been contributing, albeit under an anon IP. Too many passwords to remember if I register! Keep up the great work. Chensiyuan (talk) 00:56, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

Magic Johnson has been chosen to be our very first Collaboration of the Month article. Although this is article is already a Good Article, it still can be improved. The goal is to improve this article by the end of May so that it can be nominated for Featured Article status. In particular, free-use images should be found for the article, all Manual of Style guidelines should be followed, and a neutral point of view should be maintained throughout the article. If there is anything you can do to improve the article, then please help out.

[edit] Adding Soxrock to Missing Wikipedians
I think it is only right, he is on an indefinite wikibreak and who knows when or even if he'll come back. Hopefully he will but i think its right that hes added to the list, a user who has made nearly 52K edits and been here since Feb. of 06 deserves to be on the list. Just thought i'd like to let you know. Thanks Roadrunnerz45 (talk 2 me) 14:39, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
- Truth be told I've never come across this thing! Chensiyuan (talk) 23:26, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
Hi Chensiyuan, any comments or suggestions on the rewrite of this article. It's not quite there yet, IMO (and certainly needs some copyeditting and citation repairs), but I would appreciate any feedback. Faith (talk) 04:42, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
- No worries. Thank you anyway. Faith (talk) 08:11, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Bking.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Bking.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check
-
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

[edit] Magic Johnson
If I can fix something myself, I'll usually try to fix it. But I think some things will require more discussion.
I've only gone through about half of the article so far, so I'll probably have some more comments at the FAC. Stay tuned. Zagalejo^^^ 18:44, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Bill Russell FAR
Hello,
I wanted to let you know that I intend to take the Bill Russell article to WP:Featured article review. This is something I've been planning to do for a while. I'll list my rationale at the FAR page shortly, and send you a message when that discussion is live.
Thanks, Zagalejo^^^ 05:49, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] FAR is live
Bill Russell has been nominated for a featured article review. Articles are typically reviewed for two weeks. Please leave your comments and help us to return the article to featured quality. If concerns are not addressed during the review period, articles are moved onto the Featured Article Removal Candidates list for a further period, where editors may declare "Keep" or "Remove" the article from featured status. The instructions for the review process are here. Reviewers' concerns are here. Zagalejo^^^ 06:44, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] NBA COTM for June
It's about time to announce to next article to collaborate on. I thought that since we did a retired player this time, we could do a current player now. I know you've worked on a lot of GAs, so I want to ask your opinion: Which current player article do you think would be best to collaborate on? Noble Story (talk) 03:03, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
- Dirk Nowitzki -- p.s. am still on vacation so I don't check in on WP that often. Back in a month. Chensiyuan (talk) 12:33, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
- Hmm...I think I'll eventually have to decide bewteen either Nowitzki or Steve Nash. Well anyway, enjoy your time off from the Wikigrind. Noble Story (talk) 13:20, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

- Collaboration of the Month
Last month's Collaboration of the Month, Magic Johnson was a great success. A total of 560 edits were made to the article during the month of May, and the article was eventually nominated as a Featured Article Candidate. Although the article was not promoted, it was significantly improved through the work of many editors.
This month's Collaboration of the Month is Steve Nash. Although this is article is already a Good Article, it still can be improved. In particular, all prose should conform to Featured Article standards, all statements should be verified, and the text should be in a neutral point of view. If there is anything you can do to improve the article, then please help out.
- Collaborator of the Month
The Collaborator of the Month is given to the editor with the most number of substantial, beneficial edits to the article chosen as the Collaboration of the Month.
This month's Collaborator of the Month award goes to Chensiyuan (talk · contribs). Although he had previously helped Magic Johnson to became a Good article, he made literally hundreds of edits during the month of May. For his contributions, he is rewarded with the NBA Collaborator of the Month Award.
However, all beneficial edits made by any editor was a help. Other members of the project that contributed to the article include:
