HaKerayot

HaKerayot (Hebrew: הקריות, also transliterated HaKrayot, HaQrayot) is a cluster of five suburbs on the Mediterranean coast near Haifa, Israel.

3. Kiryat Bialik - pop. 36,800
4. Kiryat Atta - pop. 48,900
5. Kiryat Haim - pop. 40,000 (within the municipal borders of Haifa)

Many arrived after 1990, following the large aliyah from the former Soviet Union. The immigrant population of HaKerayot, excluding Kiryat Haim, was 41,500 at the end of 2004.

There have been several proposals (notably, in 2003), for HaKerayot to be united into one big city called Zevulun with a population of about 250,000 people, which would make it one of the ten largest cities in Israel.^{[citation needed]} While none of the proposals were approved, the last one has not been repealed.

It is a home town of popular Israeli musical acts: Stela Maris, Infected Mushroom, Access Denied, Benzin, etc.^{[citation needed]}
