Hackney Wick railway station is on the boundary between the London Borough of Tower Hamlets and the London Borough of Hackney in East London. It is on the North London Line, and the station and all trains serving it are operated by London Overground. It is in Travelcard Zone 2. The station initially opened as part of the CrossTown Link line from North Woolwich to Camden Road in May 1980. On 29 December 1985,the station was the location of one of the murders of the serial rapists John Duffy and David Mulcahy.
