[edit] Help?
Hi, I see that you are an experienced wikipedian: and I jujst need to ask a couple questions:
1. How do you change the name of an article?
2. How do you create a 'userbox'?
Thank you, --Alegoo92 16:26, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
I have no idea where to put this, but I got the PB 100 picture from google. I just checked again and it is not there...um?
[edit] Excel Saga a FA
Thanks again for all your help before and during the FAC: It's all greatly appreciated! As for what's next, I do hope to revamp NGE (there's a surfeit of secondary material in comparison to Excel Saga), but I want to finish up List of Excel Saga media and get that featured, too.--Monocrat 00:04, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Current mac project collaboration
Hey there. Would you like to help out at Apple II series, the latest WP:MAC collaboration? A models timeline would you good... — Wackymacs 11:21, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Apple Network Server.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:Apple Network Server.gif. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --– Quadell (talk) (random) 19:35, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Apple computer images
I noticed you posted a request for some images of Apple computers in Commons. I happen to have a Graphite G4, a blue G3 and access to a Quicksilver G4. I guess I'll have to remember to take pictures of them. However, I have a few questions:
- What's wrong with the pictures that are there? They seemed okay to me.
- What types of shots do you want? I will probably be taking these with film, then scanning them in. It would help for me to know what types of images you want (i.e. side, top, front, back, inside, etc)
- I also have a Graphite Monitor. Do you want pics of that as well?
I also know of an old Quadra, but I'll have to take a look at it. It's sitting on a floor gathering dust in a room people rarely use, and I'm not sure of the condition.
If you could contact me on my user page here in en.wikipedia or you can send me an email at barista at gottahavacuppamocha dot com. If you do that, put wikipedia in the subject line to avoid my spam filters. I hope I can help out. --Barista | a/k/a マイケル | T/C 03:34, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Commons-Wiedergänger
Hallo grm_wnr,
[edit] Serial Experiments Lain
Hi Grm wnr (is that Grammy Winner?)!!
I am going through the process of having Serial Experiments Lain featured (Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Serial Experiments Lain), and the article appears to be in dire need of copyediting. Monocrat told me how much you helped with the Excel Saga FAC, so I ws wondering if you might give a hand. If you don't have the time or interest, maybe you know an equally experienced wikipedian with copyediting skills that would have it? You can answer here as I'll be watching your talk page. Thanks in advance, --SidiLemine 19:00, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] PowerBook 100 photo
There is not much point for me in claiming the reward (translation Deutsch<->English) for photo upload (except maybe lack of time) but I would appreciate an opinion on Image:PowerBook 100 01 2007-02-17.jpg as - weather permitting - I certainly can do a repeat shoot with modifications to the scene if desired.--Klaus with K 19:44, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Comment
I tried rephrasing, and so you might want to share your thoughts here. Cheers, TewfikTalk 04:47, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
- A user who was creating such IDPs has now changed the text of the CSD and reverted all of the speedy tags, claiming that there was no consensus. I would very much appreciate if you could clarify your position. Amarkov upheld the reversion of CSD, but I believe that he was mislead by the claims that there was no discussion (i.e. our discussion). Unfortunately, it was his last action before logging off, so he hasn't yet responded to my request for clarification. TewfikTalk 18:20, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free image (Image:Applepedia.png)
Thanks for uploading Image:Applepedia.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 21:41, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Katamari-fortissimo-damashii-cover-reduced.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Katamari-fortissimo-damashii-cover-reduced.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Malkinann 00:00, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] FAR for Macintosh
Macintosh has been nominated for a featured article review. Articles are typically reviewed for two weeks. Please leave your comments and help us to return the article to featured quality. If concerns are not addressed during the review period, articles are moved onto the Featured Article Removal Candidates list for a further period, where editors may declare "Keep" or "Remove" the article from featured status. The instructions for the review process are here. Reviewers' concerns are here. --Kaypoh 15:55, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Featured List of the Day Experiment
There have been a series of proposals to initiate a Featured List of the Day on the main page. Numerous proposals have been put forth. After the third one failed, I audited all WP:FL's in order to begin an experiment in my own user space that will hopefully get it going. Today, it commences at WP:LOTD. Afterwards I created my experimental page, a new proposal was set forth to do a featured list that is strikingly similar to my own which is to do a user page experimental featured list, but no format has been confirmed and mechanism set in place. I continue to be willing to do the experiment myself and with this posting it commences. Please submit any list that you would like to have considered for list of the day in the month of January 2008 by the end of this month to WP:LOTD and its subpages. You may submit multiple lists for consideration.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:LOTD) 17:27, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image:DJ-Kicks_logo.png
I have tagged Image:DJ-Kicks_logo.png as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Wikipedia policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. Thank you. Rockfang (talk) 07:08, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Latenighttales.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Latenighttales.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 23:40, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Speedy deletion of Template:XD4
A tag has been placed on Template:XD4 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.
If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{transclusionless}}</noinclude>).
