Grand Chute (French: great fall) is a town in Outagamie County, Wisconsin, United States. Grand Chute is the most populous town in the State of Wisconsin, with a population of 18,392 at the 2000 census. It is considered part of the Fox Cities metroplex that also includes Oshkosh, Neenah, Menasha, and Appleton.

Grand Chute was the home town of U.S. Senator Joseph McCarthy.

It is also the home of the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers baseball club of the Midwest League, as the team's Time Warner Cable Field at Fox Cities Stadium is located in the town.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 25.0 square miles (64.6 km²), of which, 24.9 square miles (64.5 km²) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.2 km²) of it is water. The total area is 0.32% water.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 18,392 people, 7,586 households, and 4,688 families residing in the town. The population density was 739.1 people per square mile (285.3/km²). There were 7,965 housing units at an average density of 320.1/sq mi (123.6/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 94.28% White, 0.77% African American, 0.40% Native American, 1.52% Asian, 0.08% Pacific Islander, 1.87% from other races, and 1.08% from two or more races. 3.53% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There were 7,586 households out of which 29.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.2% were married couples living together, 5.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 38.2% were non-families. 28.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.38 and the average family size was 3.00.

In the town the population was spread out with 23.4% under the age of 18, 11.2% from 18 to 24, 31.2% from 25 to 44, 22.6% from 45 to 64, and 11.6% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 35 years. For every 100 females there were 99.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 96.6 males.

The median income for a household in the town was $50,772, and the median income for a family was $61,780. Males had a median income of $42,084 versus $27,346 for females. The per capita income for the town was $25,189. 5.3% of the population and 2.7% of families were below the poverty line. 4.7% of those under the age of 18 and 7.5% of those 65 and older were living below the poverty line.
