Gerardo Torrado Diez de Bonilla (born April 30, 1979 in Mexico City) is an international Mexican football player, currently playing as a defensive midfielder for Cruz Azul in the Primera División de México.

Playing mostly as a defensive midfielder, Torrado is known for his hard tackling and solid defensive abilities. He made his professional debut in the Primera División de México on September, 1997, playing for UNAM Pumas against UANL Tigres, winning 4-2 against their opponent.

Torrado is one of only a handful of Mexican players to play a number of years outside of Mexico, playing for six years in various teams in the Spanish La Liga. He is an important part of the Mexican national team and has amassed 70 caps for his country. Torrado has represented Mexico in both youth and senior level. He was part of the Mexican youth team, that played in the FIFA World Youth Championship tournament in 1999, held in Nigeria, where his side reached the quarter-finals. Since then, he has been a regular starter for the senior Mexican national team and has played in the FIFA Confederations Cup both in 1999, 2005 and the FIFA World Cup in Korea/Japan in 2002, where he scored the winning goal in their 2-1 victory over Ecuador.

Torrado was selected by national team coach Ricardo Lavolpe to be part of the 23 man Mexican squad which played in the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany. Torrado played in all of Mexico's matches in the World Cup. He was part of the starting line-up that beat Brazil 2-0 in the 2007 Copa America.
