Dragon Ball Z II: Gekishin Freeza!! (ドラゴンボールZII 激神フリーザ!! Doragon Bōru Zetto Tsū Gekishin Furīza!!?, Dragon Ball Z II: Freeza the Planet Destroyer!!) was released by Bandai in August 10, 1991 for the Japanese Famicom console. Like its prequel, the game takes the form of an RPG with adventures through games with Battle Cards. The game features the story on Namek and follows closely to the story in the anime except for the fact that, like in the previous game, Tenshinhan, Yamcha and Chaozu are not dead but are present in the player's party at the beginning. If one of them happens to die, they disappear. Another slight change had been made to the battle system. If the player successfully defeated the opponent, they were given five cards to choose from. If the player turns over a card depicting an ally they will receive a bonus. One particular point is that the game does not end at the end of the fight against Freeza but a bit before Goku turns Super Saiyan.
This game features the same roster as the previous installment but adds Vegeta in.
