Gaithersburg High School (GHS) is a four-year high school in Gaithersburg, Maryland, United States. Part of Montgomery County Public Schools, the school was founded in 1904 as Gaithersburg School, offering grades K-12. Since 1951, the school has been located at 314 South Frederick Avenue at 68,184 sq. ft. Currently, the school offers education for grades 9-12 with an enrollment of 2208 for the 2006-2007 academic year. The mascot is the Trojan and the school colors are blue and gold. Sports teams include swimming and diving, soccer, basketball, football, volleyball, golf, tennis, field hockey, lacrosse, baseball, softball, poms, cheerleading, wrestling, cross country, indoor track, outdoor track and ice hockey. Students have access to edline, an online learning tool. At the beginning of the 2006-2007 school year, a long awaited wing was opened near the auditorium.
