Welcome, all, welcome (if the people reading this can even barely qualify as an "all")! For those of you who came here through a link on a Shonen Jump-related page, the person who posted that is my brother, who used to share this account with me. He now operates under the name Jump Guru, so if you're looking for him, click here.
Okay. Now that the civilities are out of the way, I'll be a-introducin' meself. 'Cause meself is a word. I am a hardcore contemporary Christian music fan. My favorite genre by far is metal (which is all-encompassing, basically if they scream, growl, or grunt, and they're Christian, I probably like them), closely followed by hard rock and indie rock. If you've been frequenting the list of CCM artists page, you'll notice that a LOT of changes have been made, with a multitude of artists, mostly metal and rap, being added. My favorite artists at this point (it's changing constantly) are Kevin Max, Joy Electric, and Becoming the Archetype. Other favorites include The O.C. No. That was not just random pulling names out of a hat. I love all o' thems. I could riff for hours, but I don't want to make this look like a MySpace (eleventyseven reference intended). Favorite record company: Facedown wins hands-down. Tooth and Nail comes in second, naturally, followed by Solid State,Flicker, and Gotee. No surprises, really. I heard about After the Sirens through Breakaway
I enjoy kicking around the idea of forming a band, and am constantly trying to come up with a good name. The best ones I've got at this point are And Without Blemish, neveralone, Converging On Yorktown, She Sings In Riddles, Look Out Pigeons Here I Come, and We Win!. If you've got a suggestion, feel free to throw it out.

- Jesus freak Hideout I love this place! I must admit, though, I don't agree with all of their opinions. Most of the time, however, I readily take a suggestion from them.
- Rawkzilla.com Definitely subscribe to their free podcast. It's a terrific website, but not nearly as complete or polished as JfH.
Official Websites. If a band's website is their MySpace, it's kept separate from this list.
- Facedown Records Proof that the negative feelings people have about any Christian band, style notwithstanding, is ridiculous. All of Facedown's signees (past and present) ooze originality and awesomeness. I love Solid State, but their more recent bands (such as, say, Destroy the Runner) sound a little too much like such icons as Underoath, As I Lay Dying, or Norma Jean. It's not that I don't like them. DtR's okay. But nothing compared to the bands on Facedown's roster.

- Half Past Forever If you followed American Idol, you'll know the name Chris Sligh. He was always destined for stardom, but I don't think anyone was expecting him to end up in a Christian band.

- Matisyahu We need more people like this. He's not a Christian artist, I know. But he clearly loves God, and his lyrics are accessible to Jews and Christians alike. I've actually never been more convicted by any one artist. "Jerusalem, if I forget you / Let my right hand forget what it's supposed to do." Such devotion is rare. He also provides solid advice, criticizes society, and expresses real affection and commitment, putting the Almighty first the whole time. Oh, and his music kicks, too. Let's take a cue from Matis and Jars of Clay and follow the Lord with faith "Like a Child".
- Kevin Max He's a genius. I love tobyMac and Tait, but K-Max is definitely my favorite out of the dc Talkers.

- Wavorly These guys are AMAZING!!! If Flicker can scope out talent like this, they could become as good as T&N and fast. Wavorly has potential to become even better than the guys who signed them, which is saying something since Audio A is, always had been, and always will be one of the best bands ever. "Madmen" and "Tale of the Dragon's Defeat" all the way!
