They are one of the four major UK Opticians (retailers) that control 70% of the British market for spectacles and contact lenses.
D&A is currently owned by Italy’s De Rigo SpA conglomerate. It employs more than 2,500 staff including over 400 opticians. The company has approximately 380 branches UK-wide, consisting of around 240 group-owned sites and 140 franchises.
Dollond & Aitchison are Royal Warrant holders and supply glasses to the British Royal Family.
