Delhi Herald of Arms Extraordinary was an English officer of arms. Though an officer of the crown, Delhi Herald Extraordinary was not a member of the corporation of the College of Arms in London. This office was created in 1911 and was held by Brigadier-General William Eliot Peyton.[1] At the same time, an Assistant Delhi Herald was also appointed, Captain the Honourable Malik Mohammed Umar Haiyat Khan (1875-1944), who was later Major General Nawab Sir Malik Umar Hayat Khan.[2] [3]
