Daniel J. Kim

Daniel J. Kim ("Dan Kim") is the President & CEO and co-owner of Red Mango[1], a popular frozen yogurt company with over 100 international locations that was started in 2002 in South Korea. Red Mango entered the United States in 2006 to compete with Pinkberry, a very popular frozen yogurt chain that was founded in West Hollywood, California.

Dan started Red Mango with his colleague, Roy Lee (a movie producer best known for films such as Ring (film), The Grudge, and The Departed) and John Davis (American producer) (son of Marvin Davis, well-known movie producer and founding investor of Wetzel's Pretzels). It is rumored that celebrity personalities including Kristen Bell and Jamie King are also investors in Red Mango.

Dan graduated from UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business in 1998, and first worked as an investment banker with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (later acquired by Credit Suisse). Prior to founding Red Mango, Dan worked for several startup companies including Stamps.com, a company he helped take public.

Dan was profiled by The Los Angeles Times in a Sunday edition article entitled "He lives to eat and sell 'real' fro-yo"[2]. He was also featured in USA Today in an article entitled "Red Mango USA dishes up healthier frozen yogurt"[3].

Dan grew up in Bellflower, CA and currently resides in Studio City, CA.
