Dahlia is an album released by X Japan on November 4, 1996. It would be the band's last full-length studio record and is largely comprised of ballads, with only a few tracks (i.e. "Scars" and the title track) retaining the band's heavier musical traits seen on previous releases. Several of the songs achieved an Oricon number one position as singles (namely "Tears", "Longing ~ Togireta Melody", "Rusty Nail", "Dahlia" and "Forever Love").[citation needed] The last concert of the tour in support for the record was released on VHS and later on DVD, as Dahlia Tour Final 1996.
