CHUO is a Canadian radio station, broadcasting at 89.1 FM in Ottawa. It is the campus radio station of the University of Ottawa.

The station originally began broadcasting as CFUO, an AM carrier current station on 670 KHz in 1975, and was also on cable FM in 1984 and closed circuit in the university's student residences. It was subsequently awarded a broadcast license by the CRTC, and began broadcasting at 89.1 FM on May 31, 1991. The station is bilingual, broadcasting in both English and French.

CHUO's studios, formerly located in the overhanging walkway extending from the centre of this photograph towards the right, are now located in the Morriset Library building seen in the background.

Tom Green hosted a late-night program on the station for several years in the mid-1990s before moving to television with Rogers Cable's Ottawa community channel. Quddus, an MTV VJ, was also associated with the station in the late 1990s. Graeme Beamish is still hosting the classic Mean Streets format that has made him a local celebrity.

The station's studios were formerly located in a walkway linking the university's Morriset Library with the Thompson student residence. In September, 2005 the station moved to new facilities in the basement of the library building.

Currently, the station manager is Erin Flynn.

CHUO is a member of the National Campus and Community Radio Association[1].
