[edit] Football career

On 2006, he was signed by Sampdoria in a co-ownership bid, along with Pietro Accardi and Massimo Bonanni, as part of the deal of Aimo Diana and Marco Pisano. Terlizzi made his Italy national team debut together with Sampdoria teammates Giulio Falcone, Gennaro Del Vecchio and Angelo Palombo in a 0-2 loss to Croatia, a friendly match played on August 16, 2006. But he just played 4 games for the Genoa club. He was transferred to Catania on 18 July 2007.
