I removed that from the heading paragraph. Anyone know what it means? The sentence originally read: "... is one of the best middle schools in Chongqing, with around 240 thousand kilometers." --Sumple (Talk) 00:44, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
- Maybe the school has a large supply of rope? :P Since it was in the same sentence about it being "one of the best", I'm guessing it might be 240 awards, 240 famous alumni in the Chinese Communist Party, or 240 thousand square kilometers of playground. I am very surprised by the considerable information and data Wikipedia provides about the shcool, the one I graduated from. I've been in Nankai for as long as 6 years,including junior school(Chinese saying of Grade 7 to Grade 9) and the 3-year high school.It's not a hundred percent correct about some sayin, for instance,"...the teaching process is often disturbed by the noises outside the school due to the centered location of it." During the 6 years, there's rarely a moment for me to be disturbed by the outside. Despite of the centred location,it is always quiet and harmonious atmosphere in the campus.Especially,at night when all the students are devoted to the individual studies,you can find hardly any "sound", regardless of noise.Outside the school,it is the busy,colorful,commercial downtown,however,Nankai never loses its purity and atmosphere in the center part of Shapinba District.
It's a great piece of news that in the world-famous Chinese College Entrance Examination(Loaction Paper),a Student in Nankai got a remarkable 700 scores(Full 750), ranking No.1 among all the students of science in Chongqing(with full marks 150 in the maths exam).Also,in the Arts field,one student achieved the 3rd place,already admitted to Peking University.
Nankai is generally to be thought as a school which stands out for the education in science.Students in science are most competitive every year in the College Entrance Exam.
