The Chinese Century (simplified Chinese: 中国世纪) is a neologism used to refer to the possibility that the 21st century will be dominated by the People's Republic of China (PRC), particularly in light of claims that the Chinese economy will overtake that of the United States before the middle of the century.[1]

Yet with such a high population, and a significant growth rate the amount of problems faced with feeding, supplying and maintaining such sheer numbers of people are logically suspected to outweigh "down the line" any economic or political gains made as a result. With oil and other commodities in exponential decay, and China in exponential demand of such commodities (with little regard for a shift to "sustain, recycle, and renewable energy" policies) the consequences on China, Asia and the whole world for that matter could be truly disastrous. China would be hit the worst in such a situation. There may not even be superpowers in the future. Rather a global effort to secure humanities very existence.
