Chessington South railway station is at the southern part of the London Borough of Kingston upon Thames in South London, and is the terminal station of the Chessington branch. The station and the branch are served by South West Trains, and is in Travelcard Zone 6.

The station was built as a through station as explained in the Chessington Branch Line article - the intended Down line platform is not used. The lines continue beyond the station into a set of trees. It was supposed to have been joined with the line from Leatherhead, but due to a centuries old protection order on Ashtead Common to the south or Chessington, these plans were dropped, though in the early 21st Century plans were drawn up for a tunnel[citation needed].

The ticket office is at rail level. There is one Automated Ticket Machine at surface level, and a Permit to Travel machine adjacent to the ticket office. It is the station for visitors to Chessington World of Adventures.
