The Cannon Family is a prominent U.S. political family in the states of Utah, Nevada and Idaho descending from the 19th century marriage of George Cannon and Ann Quayle before their emigration from Peel, Isle of Man. The family's most famous member was their oldest son George Quayle Cannon. The family is linked by marriage to the Bennion, Taylor, Wells and Young political families.

  • Husband of Ann Amanda Mousley Cannon, Sarah Maria Mousley Cannon, Clarissa Cordelia Moses Mason Cannon, Martha Maria Hughes Cannon, Maria Bennion Cannon and Johanna Cristina Danielson Cannon
  • Also: Half brother in-law of Heber Bennion who served as a member of the Utah Territorial Legislature, 1889, and as a Democratic member of the Utah House of Representatives from Salt Lake County, Utah, 1897-9 and 1919, and of Harden Bennion who served as a Democratic member of the Utah Senate from Salt Lake County, 1899-1905, and as a Utah secretary of state, 1916-20; and half first cousin once removed in-law of Adam Samuel Bennion who served as a Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate from Utah, defeated 1944
