The growing demand of the people of Chitwan valley for the international airport force government to study the possibility in Chitwan valley , the survey was began in 1988 and completed in 1989 the survey units advice the government to sale the land of current airport and another airport in Meghauli and buy the land in Sibaghat aria to make a international airport with east west runway on the banks of Naryani River , its clearly said that making a international airport in Sivghat aria of the valley with east west runway will never make sound pollution to the wild animal of Chitwan National Park nearly 40 to 50 km far. And sealing the valuable land of Current airports (it is in the city center of Bharatpur) will cover 75% expenditure, But this survey never implemented by the government authorities but the local people and expatriates of Chitwan valley are continuing their demand to make a international Airport within Chitwan Valley.
