My name is Adam Larsen. I am currently a third-year graduate student at Northern Illinois University in Dekalb, IL. I recently completed my Master of Arts in psychology and am now on my internship to complete my additional 30 graduate hours school psychology). I completed my undergraduate studies in psychology and music at Iowa State University of Science and Technology in Ames, IA in December 2004.
I'm slowly working on building information here related to my interests.
[edit] Backpacking
A few friends from college and I go on a yearly backpacking trip. So far, we have attacked the Chisos Mountains in Big Bend National Park of Texas, the Berryman Trail in the Mark Twain National Forest of Missouri and the Eagle Rock Loop in the Ouachita National Forest of Arkansas. I hike with a Kelty pack and a Camelbak hydration system.
[edit] Rubik's cubes
I started serious study of the Rubik's cube in December of 1999. The first method I learned was the Ideal Method, but soon learned the Lars Petrus method as I began speedcubing. I routinely solve the 3x3x3 in around 60 seconds. Currently, I am learning the Stephan Pochmann method of blindsolving (memorizing the cube's configuration and solving without looking).
