Lauren Cooper
Thanks for your help, regarding User:Babybubler90's edits to the Lauren Cooper article. Despite all of the reverts, the user has still persisted in changing the tense in the opening paragraphs. I've now reverted and left another note on the user's talk page. Eagle Owl (talk) 10:48, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

Mexican Hot 100
Hi! I see you flagged this as a potential hoax. I'm reasonably sure that User:Password16, who created it, is serial hoaxer User:Maneisis returned under another account - see Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/IncidentArchive335#Dubious edits by User:Maneisis for my previous investigations of his long-term hoax edits. Password16 seems to be editing on the same topics, showing the same patterns of behaviour, and the same complete refusal to ever discuss anything on any talk page. --Stormie (talk) 10:24, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
- That's interesting. He's added references to the Mexican Hot 100 on many articles. Would you like to deal with him? I've never dealt with hoaxes or hoaxers. anemone
│projectors 11:27, 7 February 2008 (UTC)- I have listed the Mexican Hot 100 articles on AfD at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mexican Hot 100. Assuming there is consensus to delete, I'll clean up the references to them and, to be honest, I think it's time to block this account along with all the other hoax accounts I believe to have been run by the same person. --Stormie (talk) 03:46, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

A Moment like This (Leona Lewis Single)
You may be interested in editing articles related to Leona Lewis. I just find find her and Kelly Clarkson both released a same-titled single called "A Moment like This", but the original article A Moment like This is just describing the single of Kelly Clarkson. So I make a disambig page and create the new article A Moment like This (Leona Lewis Single). But I'm not familiar with Leona Lewis's discography, so the new article contains almost no content. May you help me to improve it? Thanks for your help. s19991002~-~Message 04:34, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:TheFeeling-FillMyLittleWorld7Inch.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:TheFeeling-FillMyLittleWorld7Inch.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 02:38, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
Portion used on FURs
I notice you removed what I put under portion in the FURs. I dont get the point of that field, but I was just going by this conversation about it on the template talkpage Template talk:Non-free use rationale#Portion used. Is that wrong? Gungadin 21:06, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
- Oh yeah, I'm sorry about that. I blame edit conflicts. I didn't really notice that field, I've always left it blank. Normally I would incorporate your changes into my edit if there was a conflict. anemone

- Hi, to get your userboxes in a line on the right hand side, just add the template {{boxboxtop}} to your page, followed by any userboxes you want to use, then at the end of the list, add {{boxboxbottom}}. Hope that helps. anemone

Socks of User:WJH1992
Hi, I noticed that you have dealt with a number of the socks of the above banned user. I wonder if User:Worcestershire'man might be another. They have edited the same articles to insert the same information, and appear to not be new to wikipedia in their level of expertise. I don't really know how to deal with these sorts of things, so I wonder if you could give your thoughts. Thanks, Benea (talk) 15:26, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- I thought the same, but I couldn't see any edits that were exactly alike so I didn't do anything. The only way I know how to deal with it is by blocking, but they always come back. anemone
│projectors 15:41, 19 February 2008 (UTC)- I know what you mean. User:William.JHowes, one of his puppets edited Denise Wicks and was reverted, then User:Worcestershire'man comes in, replaces the information and adds a 'do not remove' tag. Given that the puppet master has previously indicated a connection with Worcestershire makes it I think beyond reasonable doubt. The two also edited Solway Harvester within a day of each other, which is where I ran into him. I assumed that he was a newbie editor and didn't understand how the templates worked, then didn't know how or why he should talk about it, but it now seems like its disruptive editing. Having him blocked would make that situation simpler. Kind regards, Benea (talk) 15:49, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

Re: Genres
Hi, is there any significance in the order of genres listed in articles? Specifically Leona Lewis and her related pages. They're being swapped about practically daily. Just curious. anemone│projectors 00:13, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- Hi! As far as I know there are no guidelines regarding order of genres, it's just that I personally like to list them in order of importance, I hope that's not a bother for you or anyone else. Funk Junkie (talk) 19:39, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- That's fair enough. I'm not at all bothered what order they're in, it just bothers me that other people can't agree. anemone
│projectors 20:11, 19 February 2008 (UTC)- Agreed. I notice there are users who keep swapping the order of genres and don't even bother lowercasing them; I hope it doesn't turn into an edit war or something. Funk Junkie (talk) 20:20, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- Actually I would say Leona is more soul than R&B. It's totally POV, really. I think the people who keep adding R&B to "Footprints in the Sand" are totally crazy though :) anemone
│projectors 20:25, 19 February 2008 (UTC)- To be honest I'm not that familiar with Leona's music, only "Bleeding Love", which I consider to be a contemporary R&B-backed pop song. As for "Footprints in the Sand", I think it's quite much of piano pop. Funk Junkie (talk) 20:50, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- Oh right. I'm not really that familiar with genres, espcially the really specific ones, though I like the sound of neo-soul. Of course, she's also done rock, with the Avril Lavigne song "I Will Be", but that seems to have been overlooked... anemone

Character page merge request
May I request that you merge the Jo Stiles and Jo Sugden articles together to retain the editing history from the Jo Stiles one? Given her recent surname change, a new article has been made and the old one redirected, but I know wiki standard is usually to move to article to retain its history. I know you're more involved in editing on the eastenders articles, but given your input in soap-articles generally, I thought this may not be too much of a problem? Cheers. EastEnders on hold (GA sweep)
I have reassessed this article as part of Wikipedia:WikiProject Good articles/Project quality task force. We are currently revisiting all listed Good articles in an effort to ensure that they continue to meet the Good article criteria.
In reviewing the article, I came across some issues that may need to be addressed; I have left a detailed summary on the article's talk page. As a result I have put EastEnders's GA status on hold. This will remain in place for a week or so before a final decision is taken as to the article's status.
I've left this notice here because, from the article history, you have been a significant contributor. If you no longer edit this article, please accept my apologies and feel free to disregard this message ;)

What's the difference between all the dashes and when should they be used? The only one I have on my keyboard is this one: - Thanks. -Trampikey(talk)(contribs) 22:18, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
- WP:DASH has all the answers. Basically, the en dash (–) is for linking dates, but if there's only one date (like in a character who hasn't left yet), you use the em dash (—). Below the edit box you should see "Insert: – — … ° ≈ ≠ ≤ ≥ ± − × ÷ ← → · §" and lots more besides. Clicking on the symbol you want will insert it into the edit box at the point where the cursor is. anemone

Information relating to the type of dog she owns, the names of her siblings, etc. are wholly unimportant.
Please don't fill Wikipedia with fanboy trivia.
You should stick to SIGNIFICANT events, not useless information about wearing a dress or switching on street lights.
She's a SINGER and NOT the second coming of Christ.
Please keep the article concise and tidy in future.

The Gregory Triplets
Another editor has added the {{prod}}
template to the article The Gregory Triplets, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}}
template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. BJBot (talk) 01:00, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
Could you look at something for me?
I was going to handle this myself, but I bet you know more about the image policies than I do. You had tagged 3 images uploaded by User:Holiday56 as being replaceable: Image:Carly Smithson.jpg, Image:David Cook.jpg and Image:Kristy Lee Cook.jpg. Holiday56 changed the replaceable field to say that the pictures aren't replaceable because the event is over. Well the problem is that nothing in the policy states that the images have to be from the same event. Also, we have several free pictures on the site that come from the same event (Image:ChikezieEze.jpg, Image:DavidHernandez.jpg and 6 others). And you know they can't be the only ones that exist. Anyway. Could you take a look? I admit that I could be wrong, but I don't think I am. :) --WoohookittyWoohoo! 11:28, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:A Moment like This (Leona).jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:A Moment like This (Leona).jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:24, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
