Andrew Steven Jackson (born January 9, 1988 in Falkirk) is a Scottish-born Irish footballer, currently playing for St. Johnstone after progressing through the club's youth ranks.
Jackson made his league debut on August 14, 2004, in St. Johnstone's 3-1 defeat to Queen of the South at McDiarmid Park.[1]
During the 2005/06 season, Jackson was loaned out to Cowdenbeath, with whom he scored four goals in thirteen league appearances, and Forfar Athletic, scoring five goals in thirteen appearances.
On September 5, 2007, Jackson scored his first senior goal for St. Johnstone in their 2-0 victory over Ross County in the Scottish Challenge Cup.[2]
Jackson was awarded the Irn-Bru Young Player of the Month for January 2008 after scoring in three consecutive games (against Raith Rovers, Dunfermline Athletic and Stirling Albion).[3]
He has represented the Republic of Ireland at under-18 and under-19 level.
