[edit] Archiving Your Talk Page

Would you like me to archive your talk page?--TrUCo9311 20:22, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

Y Done, is that good or did you want to keep past discussion?--TrUCo9311 20:28, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] March 2008

Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did to Son Goku (Dragon Ball). Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 21:07, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Son Goku (Dragon Ball)‎, you will be blocked from editing. Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 21:21, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Timeline (Dragon Ball)

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Timeline (Dragon Ball), and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://dragonball.wikia.com/wiki/Timeline. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 19:08, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Changes to National Curriculum assessment and Year Seven

I have undone all of your recent edits to the NC assessment article. Clearly you are familiar with the way the NC is applied in schools - presumably as a student - however the sublevels you mentioned (e.g. 2c, 4b) have no status within the national curriculum, and are locally derived, and so are unverifiable. In addition, there are no officially expected levels of achievement except at the end of each Key Stage - as per my original table in the article. I have now added a reference link to this. While you are clearly knowledgeable about how the assessment takes place in your own school, it is important that if you are to make such big changes to an article, you really must be able to support your edits with evidence. As for the Year Seven article, you made changes to the Northern Ireland section which were quite wrong. The Northern Ireland curriculum does not match that in England, so Primary 7 is the last year at Primary, and therefore the last year of KS2, as the article previously stated. Again, if you are to make such edits, please check your reading first, and provide references. This will help you to avoid making these misleading mistakes. Tafkam (talk) 22:09, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

I'm very aware that Y7 is normally the first year of secondary education in England, but you made changes to the NI section. That is why references are so important. Tafkam (talk) 23:08, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Your edit to Battlefield Heroes

Please do not add content without citing reliable sources, as you did to Battlefield Heroes. Before making potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add your reference to the article. Contact me if you need assistance adding references. Thank you. --MrStalker (talk) 22:32, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:DHOOM2.jpg

Thank you for uploading Image:DHOOM2.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Yamla (talk) 02:47, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Blatant vandal

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits, such as those you made to Battlefield Heroes, are considered vandalism and are immediately reverted. If you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the work of others. Thank you. Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 03:25, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Blocked again

I have blocked your account for two months for disruption; in particular, for this edit: you have replaced formally written content with an unencyclopedic exclamation. Compared to that, your addition of the date of release is a fairly minor issue; content added into articles should be verifiable using reliable sources, and insider information that has not been released to the public is not a reliable source.

When your block expires, I strongly recommend you to discuss any changes you make on the appropriate talk page before you actually make the edit. (And please note that "discuss" doesn't mean "state your point and then go ahead with the edit".) Otherwise, consider yourself warned that further disruption may result in an even longer block, perhaps an indefinite one. - Mike Rosoft (talk) 13:00, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Unblock request!

This blocked user (block log | autoblocks | rangeblocks | unblock | contribs | deleted contribs) has asked to be unblocked, but an administrator has reviewed and declined this request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock request while you are blocked.

Request reason: "my brothers friend works for Ea and said Battlefield heroes is coming out july. im not lying. this block is wrong"

Decline reason: "This is entirely insufficient. You have already been warned that Wikipedia does not accept unsourced content or original research. See WP:V, WP:RS, and WP:CITE. — Yamla (talk) 15:55, 3 March 2008 (UTC)"

Please make any further unblock requests by using the {{unblock}} template. However, abuse of the template may result in your talk page being protected.

Nor does this explain the other problems with this edit. --Yamla (talk) 15:56, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

Decline reason: "You behaved rude and abusively towards another admin (see below). That, coupled with the reasons for the block, and I see no reason to unblock at this time. Please stop using your talk page to be rude and disruptive, as you have done below, or it may be protected for the duration of the block. — Jayron32.talk.contribs 18:46, 3 March 2008 (UTC)"

This is simply not true. The original content in the article was:

Not much is known about the vehicles at this point, but from screenshots the Spitfire, M4 Sherman, and PzKfzIV seem to be included. Planes do not carry bombs, are slow moving, take damage from all weapons, and are mainly used for dogfights. Players are also able to sit on the wings, an idea with influences from what is in the community known as "wing-walking".<ref name="pbf"/>

which you have changed to:

Not much is known about the vehicles (except that you can sit on the wingtip of the Spitfire while pouring out those 12" shots!)

And this is what I have blocked you for. - Mike Rosoft (talk) 17:23, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

YOU STOP LYING it was some one else omg i think when i edited it someone got rid of it. i got framed or something all i did was change summer 08 to july 08 Agent007ravi (talk) 17:24, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

  • I see what has happened. Several users replaced the paragraph, you changed the release date, MrStalker (talk · contribs) reverted all those edits, and you reverted him without checking what he did. - Mike Rosoft (talk) 17:28, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
  • I am willing to reduce your block, as long as you promise that whenever you want to make a significant edit of any article (except reversion of obvious vandalism), you'll discuss it at the appropriate talk page first. And that especially applies if you intend to revert a user in good standing. - Mike Rosoft (talk) 17:38, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

Sorry about my arrogance, i am short tempered. ill discuss it at the appropriate talk page Agent007ravi (talk) 17:44, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

  • I'm not happy with a reduction for an editor who calls another contributor a liar as part of the discussion. I'm for increasing the tariff until this Agent007ravi indicates that they can be civil as well as complying to Wikipedia editing standards. LessHeard vanU (talk) 17:48, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

I shall unblock, but please note that this is the absolute last chance. No more adding unreferenced content, no more saying that other editors are "lying", no more letting "others" use your computer. [edit] Son Goten

As I have repeatedly said in my edit summaries at Son Goten, please refrain from adding speculative ages to articles, as you have done so three times to Son Goten here, here and here. Please read WP:ORIGINAL and WP:VERIFY at this time. Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 19:06, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you violate Wikipedia's no original research policy by inserting unpublished information or your personal analysis into an article, as you did to Son Goten, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. WP:SYN states

If the sources cited do not explicitly reach the same conclusion, or if the sources cited are not directly related to the subject of the article, then the editor is engaged in original research.

and by using the timeline to derive the ages of characters you are violating WP:OR. I also note that you continued to re-add the information despite it being removed by Lord Sesshomaru. I should caution you that as you have been given one last chance that if you are reverted then the absolute worse thing you can do is edit war. Do not edit war over anything, and do not include any fact that isn't able to be seen on a reputable third party source. LessHeard vanU (talk) 21:52, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:750px-Club Penguin.jpg

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:750px-Club Penguin.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 21:06, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Yeah, but blanking a page is considered...bad.

I wasn't aware you'd undone it until I'd reverted. HalfShadow (talk) 21:29, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on London Borough of Redbridge. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. Not only is blanking a page inappropriate, but so is this edit summary. This unacceptable behaviour needs to stop right now. LessHeard vanU (talk) 22:01, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Gears Of War video games

Another editor has added the {{prod}} template to the article Gears Of War video games, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. BJBot (talk) 06:59, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:DBZBURST.JPG)

Thanks for uploading Image:DBZBURST.JPG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 06:38, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Please don't make things up

This is a bit outdated, but please do not add fake things to articles like you did here and here. Last time I checked, there is no Emmy Award for "Outstanding Simpsons Writer" -- Scorpion0422 13:44, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Edit summary request

Hi there. When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field - please fill in your new section's name instead. Thank you. Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 22:28, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Your userpage details

Hi. I am going to ask for advice on the Admins Noticeboard (Incidents), but I seriously think that you should restrict the information on your userpage. If true, you are a minor in both British (where you live) and Florida/US (where the servers are maintained) jurisdictions and may not be allowed to display such information. In any event, it is likely very unwise to allow anyone to read this detail and I urge you to remove it. I can, if you ask or it is deemed necessary, remove it from both the page and the page history. You may wish to make a comment at WP:ANI .LessHeard vanU (talk) 20:57, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

Speaking as a father of three, I would probably freak out if my kids posted that much info on themselves on the internet. --Kralizec! (talk) 21:05, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
(e/c) I've removed your userpage, and have been the third administrator that's done this so far. Please be careful in the future to not reveal personal information about yourself, such as your real name, birthday, school, or phone number. People on the Internet are not always who they say they are, and you may be exposing yourself to danger by doing so. east.718 at 21:06, May 6, 2008

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Xbox 360. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history.
