I was charged with learning most of these at Pepperhill Farm & Day Camp in Jessamine County, Kentucky for many years while growing up. Some of the state symbols, however, were new to me, like the state fossil (brachiopod?) and the state drink (milk -- shouldn't that be the mint julep?). |
