- Hi Spittlespat. An updating template for the current vandalism level and information is here: Template:Vandalism information. The WikiStress-level template, which is what you were describing, is here. --JamieS93 21:41, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

- Argh. Helpme template abuse. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshells•Otter chirps) 22:19, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
{{elp me}} Did ten pound hammer just vandalize my talkpage or is he trying to tell me something important?--Spittlespat (talk) 22:26, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
- It wasn't vandalism. Seriously, you've used the {{helpme}} template five times in the past hour. I'm a member of the IRC channel #wikipedia-en-help, a channel which gets informed every time someone uses a helpme template. Your problems don't seem to require a helpme template, and can easily be answered at either the help desk or the new contributors' help page. - He's trying to tell you that you're overusing the "helpme" template, is what he's telling you. I'm going to give you a welcome message below this; it has a lot of really useful links that should hopefully help answer some of your questions without using the template. [edit] Heyy
Sorry I didn't respond faster,I just got on.What was it that you needed? Mr. GreenHit Me UpUserboxes 15:05, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] last time I will use the help me tmeplate!
{{help me}} Am I worthy enough to become a administrator? If I'm not how many more pages do I need to edit before I can become an admin.?--Spittlespat (talk) 22:43, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
- Not even close. You've only been around eight days and you've used the "helpme" template about 400 times. I'd say it's best to wait until you're around for at least six months -- maybe a full year. Do some work building articles, see if you can get anything to good article or featured article status first. Get involved in Articles for Deletion. Fight vandalism. You're fairly new, so start slowly, though. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshells•Otter chirps) 22:55, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
- I would also create at least one or two decent articles. Mr. GreenHit Me UpUserboxes 15:12, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
BTW-Its ok to use the helpme template, just don't use it 5 times a day.If you have more then one question, try to put it all in one template.Or ask an admin. If you want you can ask your questions on my talk page.I'll answer them the best I can. Mr. GreenHit Me UpUserboxes 15:16, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Vandalism
Hi there. You asked how to look for vandalism; well, I'd suggest starting at this page and read about vandalism, as well as the ways you can combat it. Good luck with it. Tony Fox (arf!) 03:51, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Edits
Hey there. Really, don't worry about how many edits you have at any one time - it's not a race to get anywhere. Just edit where and when you feel like, make sure you make them good edits, and you'll do just fine. Cheers. Tony Fox (arf!) 02:38, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
- Yea its really not all that importent about how many edits you've made, its the quality of the edits.Mr. GreenHit Me UpUserboxes 15:05, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Adoption
Have you been adopted yet? Mr. GreenHit Me UpUserboxes 15:05, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
- The good thing about adoption is that you can have an experianced editor answer all of your questions and you can learn about wiipedia from someone who knows what they are doing.I'm only asking because you seem to have alot of questions and I thought it'd be a good idea for someone to help you learn wikipedia. If it seems like a good idea message me and I'll set you up.
