Talk:Senate of the Republic of Poland
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
If the senate is elected by plurality block vote, I would expect every major party to nominate as many candidates as there are seats in that constituency, as many as the voters in that constituency have votes. (Assuming that a voter has as many votes as there are seats in his constituency - is this correct?) But this is not the case: http://wybory2007.pkw.gov.pl/SNT/EN/KOMITETY/dsk.htm Example: PiS and PO have candidates in every constituency (40), but they nominate only 87 and 85 candidates; they do not nominate in every constituency as many candiates as there are seats (100).--Bancki 15:03, 19 October 2007 (UTC)
