Na mitoloxía nórdica Hati era un lobo que perseguía a Mani (a Lúa) polo ceo todas as noites. Cada vez que lograba achegarse á súa presa producíanse eclipses lunares. O seu irmán Skoll, perseguía ao Sol. Supostamente, son os fillos ou irmáns de Fenrir. Dise que os nenos detonan os caldeiros e fan bastante ruído, o suficiente para mantelo alonxado da Lúa. Ademais usan as chispas da detonación dos caldeiros para voar aos ceos. A xente da terra chámaos estrelas caídas. Dise tamén que no tempo de Ragnarok, o fin do mundo, Hati alcanzará a Lúa e a romperá coas súas garras.
