- Guidelines for my talk page:
If I haven't edited in twenty-four hours, please consult a user on my "helpful people" list.
- Remember to create a new section for each new topic (you can do this by pressing the '+' link or the "edit" next to "Sceptre's talk page"), and remember to sign your posts with ~~~~.
- If you think I've made a mistake in reverting, revert it back and feel free to remove the warning. Please refrain from posting here - doing so creates clutter and means I have to archive my talk page faster than I should.
- Due to a long-standing conflict I entered myself in two years ago, I will not mediate disputes on my page. I will give advice, but it is nonbinding.
- I should respond within 24 hours, if I feel there is a need to respond, and unless you have an openly stated policy on conversation, or request for me to reply here, I will reply on your page.
- Any questions about the bot should mention the word "bot" in the level header, and any requests for the bot should go to bot request subpage.
- Any messages should be in English, and as clear and as legible as possible. As long as I know what you're saying to me, it's okay.
- If you have a request for me, please be aware that, unless dictated by policy or behavioural guideline, a member of the Arbitration Committee or Wikimedia Foundation (either paid employee or advisory board), or Jimbo Wales, I am not bound by your request, but will take it into consideration.
- Please remain civil at all times, and please, under any circumstances, do not refer to me as a Nazi - I'm much more liberal than that.
- Please do not put substituted warnings on my talk page - I've been a member of Wikipedia for nearly three years and I was an admin for seven months, so you think of a warning, I've blocked for it, so I do know most of our policies. An exception to this is image warnings, as they serve to be informative too.
- The page will be archived after 40 headings.
- I reserve the right to remove any threads or revert any edits that I perceive to be in bad faith.
- Violations of these guidelines may result in your post being removed or ignored.
Re: MatthewFenton/Medium article
Will, you dropped by my user talk page at User talk:Johnashby last week to point out that I was perhaps being uncivil towards User:MatthewFenton. You may have been right. But a bit of digging has turned up quite the pattern: User talk:MatthewFenton/Archive/Archive 1. That archive reads like a litany of complaints about this user. I have not beena heavy editor of WP, but until now good faith was assumed in my edits. A re-reading of my attempts at discussing the article, complete with my sources, I think backs up my contention that the current article Medium (TV series) is too credulous regarding the claims of the series' inspiration, Alison DuBois. Regardless, it made me feel better to see that I was not the only one who had experienced trouble with him...it just made me sad that I had to give up editing the article because he wouldn't budge even an inch. WP:BEANS
For one, I was testing it out. It's actually going to go on my AWB account page. But also, I don't think they can BEAN you over the head for that. It's not really disrupting anything. :D --ElaragirlTalk|Count 19:21, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
A concern...
Hi,
I was walking by your user page, and I noticed the many references to yourself that you have on the page (real name [first and last too through your myspace link!], age, location, birthday, emails). I just started off by looking at your page, and after a few links, it was scary the amount of information that I found out by simply clicking on links. Being a teenager myself, I think that it would be wise of you to take off many of the references to you on your page. This is simply a little reminder, because there are people on the Internet who will use the information in not-so-good ways. I even had to remove my name and my school and birthdays off my page because it was affecting my anonymity on Wikipedia. I mean, of course I understand that you choose to give your information out, but from a concerned editor, it's just a little reminder. :)

- In that case.. do as you wish! :) --lovelaughterlife♥talk? 22:43, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
-
- But honestly, for safety reasons.. esp. because I have seen your comments everywhere, and with a high profile - let's say - wikipedia life, it is difficult to keep your status and personal information hidden. Are you sure you won't reconsider? I mean, I don't know your situation personally, but... --lovelaughterlife♥talk? 22:46, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

- Anyways, just keep my suggestion in mind when your mood changes --lovelaughterlife♥talk? 23:51, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

- I too woould advise against it, but it's your desicion. I hope things get better for you soon! —¡Randfan!Sign here? 00:41, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
Unspecified source for Image:DWST06.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:DWST06.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MECU≈talk 23:16, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for wishing me a good wikibreak
Hi Will, sorry not to respond earlier, thanks for wishing me a good wikibreak, even if I did cut that one short. I'll be on a much longer wikibreak soon, just to let you know. On a related matter, I hope that you or someone else will be around to "talk" to E@L, because I'll likely be offline for about the next month or so. Thanks again. --Kyoko 01:21, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
- Hi Will, thanks for the rose! I must say, that is the most... unique rose I've ever seen, truly stellar. The odds of finding such a rose must have been astronomical. Thanks for making me smile. --Kyoko 05:08, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
Happy Holidays!

Merry Christmas!
I know you're going through some hard times right now. I am too, and have been bullied before, and can completely understand how you feel. But don't let the darkness overwhelm you; your friends are here for you. We won't let you down! Oh, and Merry Christmas :PDo you like comic violence? Edit this section and replace the "unanswered" in the template with "yes" or "no" (without quotations). Oh, and please do not subst this template, or else it will be a huge mound of code. ♥ Fredil 22:29, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

I hope you feel better soon
Hi Will, I popped in to check my messages and my watchlist. Yes, I know, I had said I would "likely be offline" and so far I've been compelled to see Wikipedia anyway. I'm sorry that you're not feeling well, and I hope you get better soon. I also hope you have a happy holiday. --Kyoko 04:44, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
- Hope you feel better soon to. I left you a "card" to cheer you up for Winterval :). —¡Randfan!Sign here? 20:38, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

Confusion
I think you might have meant some other word than "misgivings" on your user page. Maybe. I think. I was directed to this page by a link to it elsewhere, where you indicated that you had done something which you might want forgotten. But, my memory being what it is, I have no idea what you're talking about, so it must not have been very important. Your user page gives the impression of someone legitimately interested in the welfare of others, and, frankly, I doubt if anything else is important. Anyway, you might want to change "misgivings" to maybe something a bit easier to understand anyway. Badbilltucker 21:05, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

Your stress matters too
Sorry to hear that things over the holidays were stressful and upsetting; that's no good, especially when they are supposed to be fun times for relaxation and celebration. I hope that post-holiday, things get better, and that you get a chance to enjoy yourself. -- Natalya 23:28, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
