Spartak and Lokomotiv qualified for the UEFA Champions League 2000-01. CSKA, Torpedo, and Dynamo qualified for the UEFA Cup 2000-01. Alania qualified for the UEFA Cup thanks to Lokomotiv winning the Russian Cup in 2000.
