ProjeKct Three
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
From 1997 to 1999, the band King Crimson "fraKctalised" into four sub-groups known as ProjeKcts, one of which was ProjeKct Three or simply P3.
This third 'fraKctal' featured members Robert Fripp (guitar), Trey Gunn (Warr guitar, talker), and Pat Mastelotto (drums). It was the last of the planned sub-groups to perform.
On March 3, 2003, P3 performed instead of King Crimson at the Birchmere in the Washington, DC, area, as Adrian Belew was taken ill that night. Following their impromptu performance, the three band members interacted with the audience in the form of a question and answer session. This is the only other full concert appearance of P3 other than their short tour of Texas in March 1999. A recording of this performance, including some of the Q&A, was released through the King Crimson Collectors' Club in February 2007. The complete Q&A is available at the DGMLive web site.
