The National Center for Hydrogen Technology (NCHT) is a research center that is located at the Energy and Environmental Research Center (EERC) on the University of North Dakota campus in Grand Forks, North Dakota. The EERC does extensive research in hydrogen and fuel cell technology at the NCHT. In 2006, hydrogen-related contracts at the NCHT totaled more than $20 million. Groundbreaking on the 15,000 square foot NCHT building on the EERC campus took place on April 17, 2006. When completed, the NCHT building will employ 50 to 100.
