Muravera (Latin: Sarcapos[1]) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Cagliari in the Italian region Sardinia, located about 45 km northeast of Cagliari. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 4,885 and an area of 94.7 km².[2]
The municipality of Muravera contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Capo Ferrato, Costa Rei, and Feraxi.
Muravera borders the following municipalities: Castiadas, San Vito, Villaputzu.
