[edit] Proposed Merger

I do not believe that each peripheral deserves its own article as they are not noteworthy in themselves. However, as this is Logitech's premium gaming range, I do believe that a short article is warranted, as long as it contains the entire range. Mouse Nightshirt 20:17, 28 December 2006 (UTC)

Support

  • Support — For above reasons. Mouse Nightshirt 20:17, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
  • Support - Same as above, and we can always change it later. darthsuo 02:39, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
  • Support - I think that would be a good idea. —Preceding unsigned comment added by RacerBoy (talk • contribs)
  • Support - Either merge, or delete. The individual products aren't notable at all; the series of products is barely notable enough to keep. -- Mikeblas 18:39, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
  • Conditional Support - On the grounds that certain products (such as the G15) which work better as their own article are allowed to keep said article. A short description and a "Main article: Logitech G15" link would work in that case, but stuff like the G-series mice really don't need it. Technogeek 23:32, 24 June 2007 (UTC)

Opposed

  • Opposed - I quite often see people referring to just the G5, or just the G7, or just the G15 in particular. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Userpie (talkcontribs)
  • Opposed - There are currently many G series products and i expect more will be released in the future. Each product deserves its own article as they all offer some innovation which was not offered by the last, I believe there is too much detail and information about these products for them all to be included in one article --King simmy 17:35, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
Comment: user's 9th edit. Userpie 01:03, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
  • Opposed - I agree with userpie, if you take a look at the g15 article for instance, there is alot of information that cant realy be seen relevant to other 'G' line products.Adambonneruk
  • Opposed - I agree as well; there is too much information on all the G-series products to be placed in one article. Other G-series articles should be expanded on, however. Duff 20:01, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
  • Opposed - I agree with the others. The G15 keyboard alone as quite a bit of information that pertains only to it, and no other G series device. While it would be nice to have a small blurb about each device in a central location, I believe that it is a good idea to keep separate articles about each device as it makes it easier to find what you want without having to dig through a large page. YodaEXE 02:18, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
  • Opposed - Though most of the G series gaming hardware articles are only stubs, there are some which contain huge amounts of information (Such as the G15) and it would be unfair to cut that information out in order to consolidate the articles. Though it may be viable to consolidate the mice as they are only quite short articles i cannot say i agree with mergeing all the G series articles together as the page size would become impractical if you left all the information in the larger articles. Illogical Labz 10:20, 17 March 2007 (AEST)
  • Opposed - Each product is a separate product. They each deserve their own page. There is a lot more to be said about all of the products in the series. They are very notable products, contrary to what Mikeblas thinks about them. cinderblock 03:16, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
  • Opposed - If not 1 page per product, at least keep separated different types of peripherals. A user looking might be interested, say, in mice but not in keyboards. Stefano 18:11, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
  • Opposed - Due to most of the above reasons and that the G5 is a very popular mouse. If it were not as popular, then i would support this. Jackrm 03:54, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
  • Opposed - These products are very popular, so popular in fact, that they should each have their own article. They each are significant to the gaming industry, which I might add is a multi-billion dollar industry. That is significant and the individual G series products each deserve their own article.--Μ79_Šp€çíá∫횆tell me about it
  • Opposed - The G15 keyboard has a specific target market (gamers). This market needs information that is specific to the hardware.
  • Opposed - Each controller is much easier to find if there is a different page that contains specific information instead of shortening the articles for really no reason. If you want to mix the keyboards in with the Mice you might as well merge all of the articles about fruit together. It would just to cobbled. Each product is very note worthy, they have set a stranded in gaming controllers. Every single product in this line has much history to tell if anyone would write it up. Each product does very much deserve their own article, they are quite diverse among themselves and other mice. To merge them would make browsing for one product to long, especially if you crammed keyboards in with the mice. Entirely unacceptable in my eyes.

          • I have a question.*********

Does the Logitech G1 G3 use a microswitch for the wheelbutton? ->Right now i have a Viper and a Krait and the wheel button is pretty unreliable(need to press twice sometimes) and needs more force to push it down.(uncomfortable) http://www.cooling-station.net/artikel/tests/razer_copperhead_sk_gaming_edition/18.jpg Here u see the crappy switch. Its also used in the copperhead *shake head*
