Lamotte Township is in Crawford County, Illinois. The population was 2,093 at the 2000 census.

Lamotte Township covers an area of 51.32 square miles and contains one incorporated settlement, Palestine. According to the USGS, it contains seven cemeteries: Barbee, East Union, Green, Higgins, Kitchell, Neathery and Oak Grove.
