International Power plc (LSE: IPR) is an international electricity generator formed in 2000 by the demerger of National Power. The group's UK businesses were spun off as Innogy and with the remainder of National Power renamed International Power. International Power was listed on the London Stock Exchange on 2 October 2000.
After a two and a half year absence International Power rejoined the FTSE 100 Index in March 2005.
International Power plc is a leading independent electricity generating company with 18,935MW (net) in operation and 149MW (net) under construction.
