Wireless
From the Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia that anyone can change
The word wireless is normally used to refer to any type of electrical or electronic operation which is done without a "hard wired" connection. Wireless communication is the transfer of information over a distance without the use of wires.[1] The distances involved may be short (when using a television remote control) or very long (thousands or even millions of kilometers for radio communications).
The term wireless technology is generally used for mobile information technology (IT) equipment. Examples include mobile phones, personal digital assistants (PDAs), Global Positioning System (GPS) units, garage door openers, wireless computer mice and keyboards, satellite television and cordless telephones.
